There’s something magical about the number twelve. Twelve months in a year. Twelve numbers on a clock. Twelve days until Caraval will be released in both the US and the UK and my dreams will finally come true!

So this is when I take a moment to shamelessly remind everyone that there is still time left to pre-order!  Pre-orders are so important for authors–and I will love you forever if you preorder. To make this deal even better, both my US and my UK publishers are offering some amazing gifts, which you can check out here for the US and here for the UK.

If you’d like a signed copy of Caraval, those are available too! Kepler’s Books, who is hosting my launch party, has signed and personalized copies up for pre-order here. These books will also come with a limited addition gift, exclusive to Kepler’s–but you have to preorder if you want it. Thank you all so very much! xo

12 days til Caraval comes out

Hi friends,

I still can’t believe this is really happening–I’m heading to the UK in February to tour for Caraval. And I am so excited to announce my schedule!

If you’re unable to make any of the stops, but would like a signed copy, you can pre-order them from Goldsboro Books. And if you do pre-order a book in the UK, don’t forget my UK publisher is giving away some very special gifts and prizes.

For those of you who live in the US, but missed the US tour announcement, here it is again. For anyone who can’t make it, but would like signed copies, you can order them here, from the amazing Kepler’s Books (the first two hundred people will also receive a special gift). And if you do pre-order (from anywhere in the US) remember my US publisher is giving away a very fun prize pack .

Hi friends!

I’m back with some very exciting news! I promised a while ago that there would be special gifts for those of you living in the US who pre-order Caraval. So I’m thrilled to announce that my publisher Flatiron Books has put together this exclusive prize-pack of gifts, called Color the World of Caraval!  Each gift pack includes all the items pictures below (a map print of Caraval, with accompanying set of Caraval colored pencils, and a red Caraval backpack*)!

Hi friends!

Things have been a little hectic here as I’ve been working on my second book and gearing up for the publication of Caraval, but I wanted to take a break to share some rather fun news.

First off, for those of you who missed the announcement on Twitter, in February I’ll be heading to the UK to tour for Caraval–and I could not be more excited!

My lovely UK publisher, Hodder and Stoughton is also hosting a fantastic giveaway for anyone living in the UK who pre-orders Caraval. Everyone who enters is guaranteed to win an “inspired by Caraval pack”, which includes a poster, postcard, bookmark and ribbon. They are also giving away fifty very special Caraval candles, lovely earrings, and ten very luck winners will win a set of all four Caraval hardbacks featuring each of its secret covers (pictured below).

So, if you live in the UK, don’t forget to pre-order, and make sure to check back for more information about when and where I’ll be visiting.

For my US friends, in case you missed it, I’ve announced the dates and locations of my US tour, and I hope to share news about a pre-order gift for the US as well.

Hi friends,

I just got back from ALAAC 16 and it was amazing! If you’d like to see some pictures I’ve shared them on Facebook, and I might try and do a more thorough writeup for the blog later this month.

In the meantime I do have a couple interviews I’d love to share. Before I left for ALA, one of my favorite local bookstores, Books Inc, asked me some questions about CARAVAL, and my path to publication. I was really honest about how many rejections I received, so if you are feeling in need of some encouragement, this might be a post to check out.

I also chatted with one of my favorite bloggers. Some of you might know her as YA Perfectionist and she asked some really fun questions about CARAVAL. She’s also hosting an ARC giveaway along with her interview, so it’s definitely worth checking out–you can find it right here!

IMG_2714Until next time, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite pictures from ALA. My editor took this photo while I was signing books–these lovely ladies blog at Once Upon A Twilight and they are truly lovely!
