Happy Caraval paperback day!

I kid you not, I have been counting down until today because my fantastic UK publisher has put out not one, or two, but three magical editions of the Caraval paperback and I am in love with all of them.

The edition with the red stained edges is exclusive to Waterstones, and the edition with the gold stained edges can only be found at Tesco–so if you’re interested in one of those you might want to shop quickly before they run out. Although I think the main edition is just as magical; it’s pictured below, because I had to share a photo that showed off this book’s beautiful spine.

IMG_8134 2The opening round of the Goodreads Choice Awards just began and I’m thrilled to share that Caraval has been nominated in two different categories! It was nominated for Best Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy as well as Best Debut Goodreads Author.

I’m stunned with happiness. Today, was actually a really rough day for me, so it was incredible to end with this amazing news. Thank you so much to everyone who’s read, or added, or rated Caraval on their Goodreads–you were all a part of making this happen.

If you have a Goodreads account make sure to vote for your favorite books by November 5!

Hey, friends! People ask me all the time if Caraval is getting a sequel. I love this question, but for months I haven’t been able to spill any specific information. So I’m thrilled to announce that last Friday Entertainment Weekly revealed the cover, the title, and the release date for the Caraval sequel, Legendary!

Legendary has taken me over two years to write. It’s been a difficult journey, but this book now owns my heart. It’s from Tella’s perspective and as I’ve written her story, not only has she surprised me, she’s become one of my favorite characters.

Legendary will be releasing May 29, 2018, but you can pre-order it now (click here for various retailers).  I will be forever grateful if you pre-order, and I promise this story will surprise you–it definitely surprised me! Also, don’t forget to add it to your Goodreads.

Hey friends!

Today YALLFest announced their author lineup for fall 2017 and I’m so excited to share that I’m going to be a part of it!

I’m also doing two Bay Area events this fall at Kepler’s Books in Menlo Park.

On August 15th I’ll be celebrating with author Jessica Taylor and asking all sorts of fun questions about her latest young adult thriller, A Map For Wrecked Girls.

Then, on September 26, I’ll be hanging out with fantasy author Jessica Cluess and chatting about A Poison Dark and Drowning, the stunning sequel to her fantastic debut novel, A Shadow Bright and Burning.

Hopefully I’ll see some of you at these events! xo
